Getting back to nature at Sarawak'2012 (Part I)

Last year (2012) My whole family had decided to go on a holiday trip to Sarwak which is Miri and Mulu (since we haven't been there before and to visit my uncle btw) And so here is a blog post about it and hope you guys enjoy it. :)

December 27, 2012
So we took AirAsia flight in the morning to Miri. (where my uncle stays and there isn't any direct flight from KL to Mulu) We woke up quite early and took a cab to LCCT (for domestic flight) and boarded the plane. The people over there aren't quite nice (as in in the airport itself) Ugh. But I was lucky being able to get the window seat. On the contrary, the view isn't quite nice because it's still early and I'm still in the sleepy mood. The whole flight took about 2 and a half hours. It was a total bore in there :/

And we finally touchdown around 9.30a.m. My cousin sister (Sam) and her friend (Jim) took us to have breakfast together. We went to a hawker restaurant and had their famous noodles. They call this 干面 and the price is only RM2.50 per plate. You couldn't get this kind of price in KL for sure. It's something like the Wantan noodles just that they don't use black soy sauce and there's no wantan but just pure pork meat.

Me, my elder sister and my mum had the Curry Laksa Noodle. The taste is quite good just isn't quite spicy enough. It tasted more like curry than Laksa though. Here's a sneak peak of it :)

Random shot in the restaurant :)
Then we went to the beach. Trust me travelling (by car) in Miri is so...... easy&quick. It took us less than 10 mins to get to the beach. The beach is... empty but the sea water is dirty. But not as dirty as PD though. And some random shooting there.

Seriously wondering what are these?

She's trying real hard to plank!

Sam and Jim

Then we check in the Hotel and get some rest before we have dinner with our uncle. And we were bored in the hotel. (This is when SX calls in to ask about Alevel and SAM, weird timing) so we did some shooting again.

Then we went down to the mall (Our hotel is linked to a mall) and trust me the mall is like smaller than/ equal size as OUG Plaza here. Take that :o

Then Jim took us out for some sight seeing. Miri is such a small town and they don't have much things to do here.

The Grand Old Lady is not a frail figure of an old woman but is the first Oil Well in Malaysia. It is one of Sarawak's most important historical moments.

Then we went to some random park. We had a walk over a long bridge. The place is clean and they offer BBQ sides. They even have a small water theme park F.O.C. If it were to be in Kl, it could probably been vandalise and misuse by most of it.

Then we went to another beach. The sea water this time is black in colour which is quite scary. We stop by and had some Coconut juice to freshen ourselves up. (It is very boring here, all sight seeing only)

Then we headed to Miri seahorse lighthouse.
Seahorse is the mascot for Miri
We were so lucky being able to see the sunset and it's quite beautiful. In Kl how often do we get a chance and relax by the beach and watch sunset comes?

Fail photo of me trying to eat the sun :o

Then we went dinner with my uncle and headed back to the Hotel. G'nite :)

The next day, we flew to Mulu by MAS :) Along with two of my cousins (Tim and Charlotte) and Jim

The flight is about 30 mins. And when we touchdown, the airport was so......empty. Everything is sort of run down and look so not like an airport. Then we meet up with our tour guide, Rinn. Then we checked in our resort. And it look like this....

It is so old school style. I mean look at the blanket! :O Gosh we were shock that time. We had free time so we check out around and there wasn't much stuff there.

to be continued.....

To be honest, I'm quite afraid or rather I would say fear of what I may encounter in the future. Five years of high school had come to an end and this is when I have to start everything fresh. Whole lots of stuff would be different and I'm just afraid that I couldn't cope well or reach my expectations.

Feeling very down in the inside these days. Heavy hearted. Indecisive. Hope I can excel. >95 Sighh
