Memoirs of 2011

When one door of happiness closes, another opens. But often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us. -Helen Keller

Never let go of hope. One day you will see that it all has finally come together. What you have always wished for has finally come to be. You will look back and laugh at what has passed and you will ask yourself, How did I get through all that? -Unknown

He who would accomplish little must sacrifice little; He who would achieve much must sacrifice much; He who attain highly must sacrifice greatly. -James Allen

____________________________________________________________________

This year started off in quite a tense situation, As in I have to bear the consequences of the path I chose; As in I need to survive the year without any regrets and so on so forth; As in I need to take up the responsibilities left. And now, I'm glad to say that I managed to survive it without regretting a single bit of it. Though hard times come and I may fail, but I stood up, and continue on.

I've grown

For the first few months this year, I struggle much. I couldn't accept the fact that, I had to endure this alone. As time pass by, I only got it right.Quite long huh. Thank God for answering my prayers, that led me through this tough time in my life.

I started to seek things at different perspectives, not to blame others but try to handle it with more patience. I start to think that every problem can be solved if I were to spend more time on it. When something turns out bad, I will try to solve it on my own. I will try to bear up the consequences that I've made.

As the saying goes, time flies. Time indeed flies. I was as though still in the mid month of the year where it's now the last day of the year. Yet, I have no regrets on what I've done throughout this year.

All I could say is, this year was a year that have taught me a lot of things, given me a lot of knowledge, experience stuff I never tried before.
Trip and fall, stand up. Dust off your knees, take a bow.

I cherish it, a lot.
Thank you for the dear ones.

New Year Resolutions?
People's NY Resolutions always have tons and tons of wishes and they expect it to come true. Don't be greedy, just have one. I have seen people always state, 2012, please be good to me. I mean like, you're in charge of your life, not 2012. -,-  And there are even some who compare year by year, like 2011 was better than 2010, hoping that 2012 will be better. I mean, if you go on like this, it's never ending lahh.

My New Year Resolution? Just one.
Just to spent less time on unimportant things and spent more time on what's more important.

It's easy to say but hard to follow, I know. Hopefully, just hopefully that I will follow at least 80% of it,

So long, till we meet again.

The Journey begun from 17th Dec 2011 (Part III)

After that we flew back to Incheon International Airport, which is located at Seoul. We had our lunch and then off we go to the Ice gallery!

The ice gallery is where they used ice to make all sorts of stuff like castle, slide(It was damn fun, though your pants might get wet), cakes, cooking utensils, computer, piano, photo frames and et cetra. It was cold in there, especially your hands, freezing. But when you touch the ice, you can't really feel anything that moment, later on only you will feel the coldness.

Me, and the castle.

Ale, with the piano

Mum, at the main entrance

Also, we get to make our own cup out of a cube of ice. We were taught how to carve (If that's the right word) the ice and turn it into a cup. Mum's one was the best! Even the workers there praised mum, about mine...The handle broke. I ended up a V shape cup. I had fun though :)

I actually intended to snap more photos but, this is where my camera starts to hang. The temperature there is too cold that my camera got lagged and it can'e sense the memory card. So, I ended up using the heat pad to cover my camera all day long. Ugh, troublesome

Later on, we went to Lotte World. this is the biggest indoor theme park in Asia. The games here are quite good, but the queue is just way too long.

This is actually a moving band, the person behind is playing the piano. He cycles everywhere!

Me, while waiting others during toilet break.

And then, we were brought to this FOLK MUSEUM, which is very historic type. And, it reminds me of Sejarah. Pfft.

It talks from the Neolitics

And the the battle-ing thingy

Till the 80s and 90s generation. I couldn't say it was bored, because it taught me many things I don't know. And, it reminds me of how the people fought just to gain back their names and stuff. Very knowledgeable I could say.

And then we continue snapping photos, more of the eating.

And, when we're about to go out, I found out something very disgusting, or maybe you could say it's rare, or even unique?

See those?

I was forced to go nearer and nearer..
The worms are actually fed, to be eaten by a kind of fish, which has legs. We wasn't allowed to capture photos there so yea. I saw that kind of fish at 学海 before. It was one of the world most sth sth I forgot. They sell it at 180,000 won, which is around RM480 to RM500 here. At some point, I would say it's quite cute.

One final pic before we went.
Went back to hotel. It's name is Best Western Guro, I guess.

Woke up quite late, around 8. Finally we had some CONTINENTAL AMERICAN BREAKFAST! Yeshhhhhhhh
No more Kimchi and say hello to bacon, salad, yoghurt, fries(though unhealthy), french toast, juices and et cetra

Later on, we head off to Deoksu Palace. Sight seeing most of the time.

Group Photo.
And then we went for NANTA show. Man I love this show very much, it is damn hilarious I tell you. I like the one in Green, as in the character. Especially when he got suck in the bin! LMAO

We weren't suppose to snap photos or video taped during the show. I secretly took this, Heh

Later on we went for shopping. It is kind of like Pasar Malam, but they're in shop lots. YOu can get lost here easily. There's so many roads.

I wanted to buy a shoe there but they ran out of size -,- Screw you Shoemarket. So, only my sister bought a pair of shoe. When we're about time to go back, it sonw!

Yea we're so lucky. We played outside of the hotel when we reached the hotel. Nobody even bother about the tour guide.
MY shoes, filled with snow
The next day was all about shopping. From the Ginseng to the Cosmetics to the Liver medicine thingy and blah blah blah. And then, we flew back to Malaysia.

***
About the myth of the mineral water, it was true. My water froze when I tried to bring it out. Ended up dumped the whole bottle.
It's not quite obvious here.

Well how could I forgot to buy my own stuff right? I got myself a jersey. Yes it's a Jersey. Same one with Jie, it's red in color with some Korean stuff on it. I know it's weird for a girl to buy Jersey but I don't give a damn about it.

Also, I bought the STARBUCKS  TUMBLER as my own souvenirs.

And Ale bought STARBUCKS MUG for her collection.

When we bought this items fr Starbucks, we got 2 free XL sized coffee of your own choice. I tried Peppermint. It was damn good! And, you couldn't get it in Malaysia.

Thanks to my family, for giving so much laughters and you guys made this trip awesome :)

And also, I finally manage to finish this trip's post. (Y)
Satisfaction, GOOD.

Muscles not that pain after all

After like a week, I finally went for swimming training, yesterday.

Coach SAM on duty today. It's been like a millions years of not seeing coach Saiful.

I get to know a girl named Abigail or something else I forgot. She's studying at INTI Int. Then, only I get to know that his younger brother is studying the same school with me at the same form. How small the world can be right? His bro is Abel, if I'm not mistaken. 4A9, I guess.

Coach SAM was like asking me to go faster Faster FASTER! #Damn, I hove no strength at all.
I get to use pedals. it was way harder that I thought.

That's all for now
Bye,

Mum's office trip'2012

Went to mum's office yesterday, cause she needed to changed her password of her account, and stuff. So, me and my sisters tag along, as we were all out together for lunch before to the office. And then later on to Midvalley. So this is how it goes.

Reached the bank, which is mum's office. Settled some stuff about the safe deposit box. (Screw Jie for not letting me in) And then we head straight to mum's office.

Most of the workers are on leaves. That makes a very DEAD atmosphere. The office is so quiet and lonely. Only my mum's boss(s) were there and some malay staff.

We, as in me and my sisters RANSACKED my mum's office, in less than 2 hours, literally. When we reached, my mum was so busy running errands and doing stuff that she left us there. We searched for snacks, coffee, stuff that you're interested to. My sister(Ale) found out her gift to mum like 8 years ago. Wow And I found a book, Jie found herself her long-lost  eraser and a mechanical pencil, not quite so.

When we were so busy ransacking the office, suddenly the phone rang. Immediately, me and my sister look at  the phone. A second later I burst into laughter as I knew Jie prank called. Ale was thinking to let it ring till mum gets back, -,- Damn that epic moment where everybody STARE at the phone was so lame

What more can you play at someone's office? YES, chairs. No wait, chairs with wheels. We wheeled everywhere. And I did something that makes Jie stare at me for about 30 seconds? THAT WAS SO LAME that I couldn't let it know here.

xxx
Then, we went off to MV. To shop for phones. I wanted Galaxy Note and Jie wanted Iphone 4S at first. But, she changed her mind and wants the same model with me now. Screw you. My mum doesn't really like us buying the same model. She says its better if we could get different models and shares together. Ale was rather indecisive there. She stills wants her Ipod, which I think is pretty much useless. Anyway, she has now decided to get 4S, and me and Jie getting Note. I wished my mum wouldn't complain that it's too expensive.

On that day, we also celebrated Jie's birthday at TONY ROMA"S. For those who couldn't eat beef, it's quite a sad case that you couldn't enjoy food which are such delicious. We had Potato skins and Onion rings as starters, Full slab beef ribs and Scaleb something-I-forgot as the main dish. We're too full by then to even have desserts.

Then we went back home to one of my relatives open house. We're actually supposed to eat there but we forgot. So paiseh lehh. Some more stay so near. They just stay 3 streets away from my house. So we drop by for a visit.

Got back home around 10.30pm.

xxx
Swimming training today. After a week plus of not exercising those muscles, my muscles are so gonna hurt tomorrow. I'll have to go swimming straight in a row starting today till Friday. And then I will only feel much better.

Better off to shower. It's raining and I bet there'll be a jam. #Gosh

The Journey begun from 17th Dec 2011 (Part II)

So, we reached Jeju International Airport. Like after 55 minutes. We went off straight to dinner as it's already late, to them. Jeju Island is not really that cold compared to NK and Seoul. I can handle that without a down jacket, at all.

Eat eat eat eat eat

View outside of the Restaurant
Okay, later on, we checked in the hotel. LOTTE HOTEL. It is rated 5 star. Speciality of this hotel, It's lobby is at the 8th floor. So sometimes it's kinda confusing whether to go up or down.

Have a look, :)
I love this hotel's toilet the most. Reasons why? Because it is big enough, and the toilet bowl. HAHA Okay it's lame.

A good night rest, and
Bright and Shine, A new day starts!

We were usually the first few who gather at the lobby, so we decided to go out to snap some photos.

View from the balcony, of the hotel

I used Miniature effect, and I like it.

Sisters again

This is the picture of me, beh song-ing.  I know it's very lame, like me :P

And my sister, STARFISH

And then off we go. We're heading to Seongsan Ilchubong Sunrise Peak and the Wishing Rock. In the bus, we played some games, with Jeff(11) and Stella(8) Imagine what are we playing?

And so we reached. Others went for a toilet break, again. -,- So we went up first.

Rocks everywhere, including beach

Some random shots

So here we are, finally. This is the Jeju's Wishing rock. This rock is miraculously found formed together after the tsunami. It is easy to stack 2 rocks together, but can you do it with more than 2? And make it a oval shape. So, it has been legend that this rock will full fill your wish. All you need is place a tiny rock in it, make sure it won't fall or else it won't work. And also, don't ruined others wish too.

Jeju's Wishing rock

The view from the top

Family photo :)

3 of us wishing
Then, we went and climbed the Seongsan Ilchubong  SUnrise Peak. We, as in Anthea, Alethea, Jeff and his dad and I are the only ones who made it to the top. (Y)

On the way up

Though it's temperature is below 0'c,  but I'm sweating, literally

Jeju Island

Me, and the island

We conquered, it's only 180m within 30 minutes.

Jeju women diver performance (Most of them are old lady)

When we came back, we were all thirsty and tired. So, why not reward ourselves with some ice cream? Yeappp, ice cream during winter. The ice cream did not melt until it is in my mouth. I can hold the ice cream as long as I want it to be cause it just won't melt.

I called hime Name Wee Korean Version 2.0
See the guy above? HE IS VERY HILARIOUS! I'll post a video about it, here. He is damn funneh I tell you!

Then, we went to the Mysterious Road. The mysterious part is that when we off the car engines, the car will move by it self, AGAINST the slope. It means we're moving up hill, without  the help of the car engine. The whole bus just moves itself. How mysterious right? There's a fact behind it, but I'm too lazy to write about that, go google it lah.

The mysterious road is about 70-80 metres long

Then, off we go to TESEUM. They have all sorts of bear in it. Off your imagination, some are like disney character, some are olden days type, some even like Korean Idols (Big bang and stuff). I myself is not a teddy bear fan, so I just got myself a keychain, just to remember teseum in jeju, that's all.

Mum's fav bear.
Before dinner, we went to Yongduam  Dragon Head's Rock. They said that this rock is formed after the Tsunami hit, back to the olden days.

With the red spot light
And then off to dinner and the day ends.
Next morning, off to Tangerine Farm.
We were allowed to pick 2 tangerines for ourselves, but guess what, it's sour. I only tasted some. It was juicy and it looks nice, but it tasted SOUR.

And then we went and bought chocolates, I mean a lot of chocolates. I think we almost bought 13 boxes of it, my oh my. No lahh, it will be given away to my mum's friend and some of the relatives.

Lunch
xxx

Skip the buying part and then we head off to Jeju Horse riding. It was fun, and exciting too. We were so scared that the horse would went crazy or something cause the guy wouldn't be holding on your horse. He will just lead the first horse for the first round and then he will let it run or go wherever it wants. He will just stand aside and stare, at us.

IDK what happen to the camera or Ale's face
I couldn't continue anymore cause I need to get going.
Till then, enjoy.

The Journey begun from 17th Dec 2011

AS the title states, it begun. Yes, the trip to Korea. For as long as 8D6N. From North to the South, From the East till the West.

The day started off like no any other day. Everybody was busy packing, and I was facebook-ing, cause I knew I wouldn't have time to facebook in Korea. We had our dinner at Pasar Malam near my house, Fang Bian Ma. LIMO arrived around 5.30p.m. Imagine how early was my dinner. -,- Checked in, met Tour leader, continue the eating, bla bla bla

4 persons luggage, considered as? Less or Many?

Checked in, soon boarded on plane. Skip those meals provided, they suck. I mean it's not delicious. We had to had our breakfast at 4.30a.m. in the morning. How could you eat that early? I mean, we're still in the sleeping mode.
Went for lunch @ Hwacheon. This restaurant is famous for its Pan Fried Spicy Chicken. I don't talk more bout food cause it shall be in the food blog of my sister, soon.

See?
Later then, we went for the DMZ. DMZ is a strip of land running across the Korean Peninsula that serves as a buffer zone between the North and South Korea. The DMZ cuts the Korean Peninsula roughly into half. It is 248km long, approximately 4 km wide and is the most heavily militarized border in the world. You know, when we reached there, there are so many rules and regulations. We are not allowed to laugh, like loudly. No doing weird action while taking photo. No taking photo facing the North side. No talking loudly. No rude words allowed. No this No that bla bla bla

Me, with the Guinness World Record mountain.
Later, The Peace Dam and The Peace Bell. The photos are at my facebook account. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.2833698931334.143222.1525015990&type=3

Pork BBQ for dinner. It was considered as one of the most delicious ones I ate during the tour. If it was beef, it would be much better. BUT, in Korea, eating beef is considered very luxurious cause beef in Korea is very expensive. Driving a BMW there ain't rich, eating beef for a meal is what they called rich. According to the tour guide.

The next day. Yawns woke up at 6. BUT, it seems like 4. NO SUNRISE TIL 7.30a.m. And then 7.30 seems like 6. After breakfast then head to SKI

I was chosen to be the model when the Tour guide teaches us how to Ski cause I was considered the best in sport there. -,-
I'm ready, oopps, not yet!
The weather there is cold, but I'm sweating there! Literally. I'm very hot. Ski-ing is actually very easy. All you need  is bravery and the stamina. Cause, it is very tired. I conquered the 'U' and 'S' style after 3-4 times of playing. It is very fun! And I was the only one in the tour who went the furthest. Oh Yeah!

After lunch, we went to Ocean 700 Theme Park. They have this wave-like-thingy that produces wave. So, my sisters and I challenged see who reached the end first. Obviously, I won. The wave was hard, but I defeated it! Take THAT!

US

Had a good night rest at the hotel as we were all flat!

Next morning, during breakfast. I saw a group of Malay tour eating the same set of breakfast with me. I was like....OMG You know what? I had Udon Noodle with PORK for breakfast. They............... seems so happy eating that set of breakfast.

Then, we had this Kimchi DIY programme. The smell smells awful, to me. I don't even dare to taste my own food.

Soon, we head to this Korean costume wearing thingy. I didn't really like it much cause their wearing has no cutting or whatever you call that. FYI, I was way too tall for that dress. Pfft
See my shoes, FAIL!

And then, BIBIMBAP for lunch! One of the best too. It comes with Shabu Shabu Dolsot. Just to let you know.

Then, we went to Dongdaemun. Pictures, do the talking.

I like this, the most. Though my sister should switch place with me.

Then we're off to Seoul's famous DOOTA shopping centre. We didn't bought much thing there as its expensive. A hairband could cost you 30000WON which is equals to RM90 here. So instead of shopping, we went outside to the hawker stalls to grab some snacks.

This is very nice to be eaten during winter, especially when it 's newly fried out.

See these guys? They're not pedestrians. They're actually the traffic controller. It's GREEN.

Then, we took a flight to Jeju Island. From Gimpo International Airport to Jeju International Airport. And then dinner.

I shall continue the next half trip in the next post. Cause it's way too long. People like Wen Xi probably couldn't finish reading up. So yea. After I finish the post, I have a very funneh video to post. I got it video taped by my camera. Some info, I think he will be Name Wee Korean Version 2.0 HAHA

Okay, I'm going off for dinner. BYE
